ACADEMIC PLANNING

 


    
The Navodaya Vidyalaya envisage a new style of growth and development aimed at identification and development of talented bright and gifted children predominantly from rural areas who are denied of good educational opportunities. These institutions are envisaged as model and pace setting institutions to lead the secondary education system in India as need based, productive and paving the way for the realisation of the national goals.


The following activities will be taken up to improve the academic programmes in the Vidyalaya

 

  • Child centered teaching methodology is adopted.
  • Timely analysis of Unit tests/Formative Assessments, Term Test/Summative Assessments and Pre-board exams
  • Proper supervision of student’s study in the classroom during   stipulated study hours.
  • Remedial teaching and special attention given to slow learners.
  • Usage of teaching techniques according to the needs of bright  and below average students.
  • Timely assessment, testing, evaluation and remediation.
  • ICT is integrated in the Teaching Learning process.
  • Teachers should aim at developing concentration, hard work, self confidence, motivation, competitive spirit, time management and communicative ability for effective learning output.

 

SUBJECT COMMITTEES


In JNV Mahe subject committee meetings are conducted once in a month. The following   are the committees .

All the faculty members , headed by the Post Graduate Teacher of the concerned departments meet and plan for the academic improvement , review the  performance  of FA / UT, device strategies for slow learners and  for bright children in the presence of  Principal / Vice  Principal.
